We wanted to stay in a non-tourist location in the Douro Valley, and the Houtel Douroinn fit the bill. The location, though a bit remote, was beautiful and we enjoyed the town Tabuaço immensely. The management, in particular the owner's assistant, was very helpful. The restaurant was also quite good.

Awful pillows. Loud TVs in public areas. Lack of outdoor communal space, e.g. a patio or deck.

The rooms at this hotel are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a modern design. I especially loved the bathrooms, which were wonderful with great showers. The breakfast provided had many different options and was included in the price.

The lighting in the room was a bit too bright and harsh. Several minor broken items in the room made it feel less luxurious than expected.

I recently had a great stay at a hotel in the Douro Valley. The location was perfect for exploring the charming town center and venturing in and out of the Duro Valley. I also appreciated that there was a convenience store just across the street, making it easy to grab any necessities. The staff at this hotel were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with a modern design and some even had a little balcony facing the beautiful mountain views. I particularly loved the bathroom, which was spacious and nicely appointed. Another highlight was the delicious breakfast, included in the room rate, with a wide variety of options to choose from. It was the perfect start to my day of exploration.

I had a fantastic stay in this hotel located in the heart of Douro valley. The cleanliness and hotel facilities were impressive. Furthermore, the free parking and excellent transportation arrangement made my stay more comfortable. The location of the city was amazing with panoramic views of the valley. I visited a great restaurant located just down the hill which served delicious food. The staff was knowledgeable and gave helpful tips on the local attractions.

The stay at this hotel was absolutely mind-blowing! The room was super clean and comfortable, with a jaw-dropping shower that had the best water pressure ever. The breakfast spread was out of this world, featuring local delights like the amazing pumpkin coconut jam and the pretty good quince jelly. The young woman at the front desk was a treasure, friendly and highly effective in arranging a fabulous Douro boat cruise for us. The staff in the restaurant were magnificent, providing EXCELLENT service and serving mouth-watering dishes. The hotel also offered free parking, which was a huge bonus. a great value hotel with sympathetic staff and amazing amenities. Highly recommended!
